As an illustrator, I wasn’t certain what I wanted to do for a long time with my art. But I knew I wanted to make characters, to make stories - whether that be for books, movies or video games. And when I started working on this project, I knew immediately I had a vision for my world and its characters, ‘The Free Range Friends’. My goal currently is to finish the picture book script and illustrations I have in the works, and then to start pitching to publishers by the end of 2026. Every bit of support towards my work helps me get closer to this goal. Something I feel is worth saying though is that I don’t want this picture book to be just for kids. I made these characters with the purpose of allowing them to connect with everybody, young and old. The intention is to remind everyone to life a life full of adventure, friendship and the simple things - something I’ve taken away from both my influences as a child and personal experiences now as an adult trying to return to my inner child.
